Open web services start to emerge more and more frequently now. This might indicate a movement towards an open web of services, just as we have an open web of data now. Many device will be interconnected, and not only will data be consumed, but also services will offered.
To make this work, services should be uniformly accessible. On the lower level this is already the case, however the interface that is ultimately exported by the service is still custom made and incompatible with other interfaces: these problems appear both at the terminology level, and the process level.
Free Speech tries to resolve this situation by introducing a new way of communication between services. |
