Description

Title Logic Programming for the Web of Data
Abstract As most of you will know, my interest is in applying logic programming. Currently, this concentrates on RDF, Web-servers (e.g. the ClioPatria semantic search platform that was the basis of the MultimediaN demonstrator and now used in various projects). In the near future, I hope to provide well packaged and supported bridges to natural language tools such as stemmers (now provides Snowball), POS-taggers and parsers. In this WAI-talk I want to provide an overview of the core functionalities, notably showing the features for RDF and web-programming. I also want to investigate requirements and opportunities, notably concerning RDF storage and NLP facilities.
