| Abstract |
In this talk I'll give an introduction in the new field of Multi-Function Parameter Tuning. In contrast to ordinary parameter tuning, multi-function parameter tuning allows you to study the interactions between functions, parameters, and performance. This allows the user to identify so called `robust' parameter values that perform well over a whole range of different problems. Although we applied it to Evolutionary Algorithms, this method can be used on a whole range of heuristics in which there is a need for `robust' parameters.
