| Abstract |
The publication of knowledge by life science researchers in a
structured, interoperable and computationally accessible form is
challenging, both motivationally and technically. Our research is into
how methodologies for the construction of topic-focussed, expert curated
knowledge bases through the application of Semantic Web technologies
could make progress towards this goal. In our prototype knowledge base -
peroxisomekb.nl - we have constructed an environment in which to
experiment with and validate approaches to knowledge capture,
distribution and integration.
