| Abstract | In this talk I will explain the problem of dealing with the multifacetedness of named entities. This problem surfaces in linguistic expressions referring to named entities, in particular geo-political entities, and so far, models in the computational linguistics community have only dealt with it partially. I will also elaborate on why it is important to tackle this problem for knowledge representation and retrieval of information. |
