Title Recap of newest SWI-prolog version, and roles of open source in academics
Abstract My WAI talk will have two subjects. First, the SWI-Prolog RDF store version 3, which was presented in an earlier WAI talk finally matured. I will briefly recap is features and some results. Second, we have seen several discussions about the role of Open Source in our group. Given my experience with SWI-Prolog, I often get questions about -for example- license issues. In this part of the talk I want to summarise the possible roles of open source in academics, explain requirements, discuss expectations and license choices.
