Title Is EMR data quality sufficient to reliably compute clinical quality indicators? A case study in colorectal cancer surgery.
Abstract At the AMC, quality indicators for the domain of colorectal cancer surgery are currently computed based on manually collected data submitted to the Dutch Surgical Colorectal Audit, which is advantageous as the audit can compare hospitals throughout the whole country, but disadvantageous as it implies increased data collection and delayed feedback on indicator results. Therefore, we established whether the indicators could be computed directly based on routinely collected data.
