Title Data 2 Documents (d2d): Declarative content management expressed in RDF
Abstract In my previous WAI talk I introduced the idea to perform web content management in a declarative fashion using Linked Data. In this talk, I will introduce Data 2 Documents, the vocabulary that has been devised as a result of that idea, and a reference implementation that uses it. The vocabulary has a strong relation to semantic elements in HTML5 and allows for a declarative form of content management expressed in RDF. As a result of its grounding in RDF, it facilitates publication of existing Linked Data in web documents and a novel way of sharing complex content across sites. I will explain the main principles and design decisions behind the vocabulary and how to use it in combination with the reference implementation, illustrated by examples. Finally I will provide details on our first round of evaluations in which 80 participants, of which 73 master students, used Data 2 Documents to alter and extend a semantic web document using Linked Data from DBpedia and Rijksmuseum.
