Title : Crowdsourcing the description of the Rijksmuseum print collection

Presenter Jacco van Ossenbruggen
Abstract The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam's print collection contains an (estimated) number of 700.000 prints. Currently, only 140.000 of these prints have been registered in the museum's collection management system. To enter the remaining prints as quickly as possible, the museum staff can only spend 15 minutes per print to describe it. As a result, the depicted subject matter and other facets that are important for accessing the collection cannot be extensively described. In the COMMIT Sealincmedia project we explore how we can involve the public at large in helping the museum staff in describing the art works. In the talk, I will give an overview of what has been achieve so far and what our plans are for the coming year. I will briefly discuss the key research questions and the methods we propose to address them.

Title : Semantic interoperability for integration of clinical information and indicators

Presenter Kathrin Dentler
Abstract In this presentation, I will introduce my research topic. I will explain what clinical quality indicators are, and why it is important that they are unambiguous, shareable and machine-processable. Then, I will present CLIF, the clinical indicator formalization method that I developed, based on an example from the domain of gastrointestinal cancer surgery. I will wrap up with discussing the results of recent studies on CLIF’s reproducibility and generalizability and shortly summarize further current and future work.
